Certification overview

An industry-recognized measure of marketing competency

The Marketing Innovation Certification validates foundational and applied marketing knowledge and skills used by marketing specialists to develop ideas, analyze audiences and market needs, communicate value, and contribute to effective marketing solutions. The certification was developed by Junior Achievement with input from educators, employers, and industry professionals.

The credential is designed to provide a clear, industry-recognized measure of marketing competency and is earned by successfully passing the Marketing Innovation Certification Exam.

Use of Junior Achievement curriculum is not required to sit for or earn the Marketing Innovation Certification. Candidates may prepare independently or through any instructional program and remain eligible to take the examination and earn the credential.

The Marketing Innovation Certification expires five years after the date of receipt. Recipients must recertify to keep their certification active.

The Marketing Innovation Certification is administered through a third-party certification process. Certification Partners scores and validates examination results and issues credentials to successful candidates. Completion of Junior Achievement curriculum is not required to take the certification examination.

Teachers enrolling a group of students should contact Junior Achievement of Florida Foundation for assistance with group registration.

Proctoring requirements

  • The exam must be administered by a proctor.
  • Instructors may not proctor their own students.
  • Each proctor must complete and sign a proctor agreement before administering the exam.
  • Junior Achievement of Florida Foundation follows Florida Department of Education testing guidelines.
